About Montrose Gate Services

A Houston gate company built on honest work, straight answers, and showing up when others don't.

Our Story

Montrose Gate Services started in Houston in 2012 with a straightforward idea: people hiring a gate company deserve someone who shows up prepared, gives them a straight answer about what's wrong, and doesn't pad the invoice with parts they don't need. That hasn't changed.

The company was founded by Talon Bailey, a Houston native who got his start working alongside experienced technicians in the field before going out on his own. He built Montrose Gate Services from the ground up — not as a franchise, not with investors, but by doing good work and earning repeat customers.

Over a decade later, we're still operating the same way. The business has grown — more trucks, more jobs, more experience — but the approach hasn't changed. Honest pricing, reliable scheduling, and a team that takes pride in the work they leave behind.

Houston's gate market has a lot of fly-by-night operators. You'll find companies that quote low, then add fees. You'll find technicians who show up without the right parts and then disappear for two days. You'll find franchises where nobody answering the phone actually works on gates.

We've heard these stories from our customers. That's partly why Montrose Gate Services grew the way it did — when someone finds a gate company they can actually rely on in a city this size, they remember the number and pass it along.

We work on all types of gates: sliding, swing, cantilever, driveway, pedestrian. We handle residential jobs for individual homeowners and commercial projects for property managers, apartment complexes, and businesses. Whatever the job, we show up with the right tools and the right parts.

We give you a realistic arrival window and we stick to it. If something changes, we call you first.
Clean Workmanship
We leave your property the way we found it. No debris, no grease stains, no tools left behind.

Meet the Manager

Talon Bailey
Manager — Montrose Gate Services

Talon Bailey is a Houston native and the owner of Montrose Gate Services, serving the greater Houston area with residential and commercial gate installation, repair, and automation. He got his start in the trade working alongside experienced technicians in the field, learning the work hands-on before eventually launching his own operation to better serve his local community.

Customers who work with Talon can expect honest pricing, reliable scheduling, and someone who actually shows up and gets the job done right. He takes pride in treating every property like it matters — because to him, it does. Whether it's a simple repair or a full gate system installation, Talon brings the same level of care and attention to every job.

Houston Roots & Community

We know Houston. Not just the streets and traffic patterns, but the way the climate eats through gate hardware, the kinds of properties that are common in different parts of the city, and the specific challenges that come with maintaining gates in a region that gets intense heat, heavy rain, and occasional freezes. That local knowledge shows up in the quality of our work.

We've served customers in Montrose, River Oaks, Katy, Sugar Land, The Woodlands, Pearland, and dozens of neighborhoods in between. Our reputation in this city is built job by job. That keeps us sharp — we can't afford to cut corners on a 50-year-old iron swing gate in River Oaks or a high-cycle commercial slide gate on a Westchase warehouse. Every job matters.
